Perhaps you remember Regrets and Passions, that piano piece I shared with you a few months ago? If you’re new here, you’re welcome to check out that link.
Perhaps you also remember that on that post, my wife mentioned that I’d been working on an orchestral version of that (her) piece and that it was still unfinished.
Well, thanks to a software package that I got for Christmas, the orchestral version is finished. I’m actually pretty happy with the results. If you’d like to give it a listen and give me some feedback, that’d be great. Just click “Play” on the page that comes up, and be sure to turn up your speakers.
Thanks for listening.

Did I mention that you’ve been challenged, again?

Wolf, I liked that a lot! It’s very well done! I have no idea about how you might be able to promote it, but it’s excellent listening!

Pinhole, montucky: I’m glad you liked it. And Pinhole, thanks for the tag. I couldn’t get into the horoscope one, but I’ll definitely give this new one a shot.

Well, I don’t know sh*t about this kind of music, but I thought it was nice. So you added the violins and stuff with some kind of software? That sounds like fun. I’m trying to learn to play the guitar myself, and once I don’t suck so terribly it would be nice to be able to add drums and stuff.

Thanks, diesel. I used Garage Band, a Mac-only piece of software, and its Symphony Instrumentation pack. If you’re a composer or a songwriter, it’s really cool.
So what sort of music are you (trying to) play?
